Marta Knight’s songs have the air of nocturnal confessions. The 24-year-old Spanish singer invites Eurosonic to an intimate concert.

When asked about her influences, Marta Knight cites Nick Drake, Oasis, Tracy Chapman, The Smiths, Johnny Cash… quite a constellation of artists who have shaped the woman she is today.

If Marta Knight’s first EP dates back to 2017 and her first success (the beautiful “Resurrection”) to 2018, it was only in 2022 that the Barcelona native released her first album: Strange Times Forever, a project in which Pau Riutort (producer for FKA Twigs, Rosalía…) collaborated. In five years, the young singer has not lost her melancholic mood and her refined aesthetic. Listening to Marta Knight is a bit like listening to a friend play for herself in the privacy of her room.
