L’Éclair is a polymorphous entity, a “mafia” as they describe themselves, whose main goal is to produce an unstoppable groove and ecstatic jams. The collective brilliantly appropriates the codes of the rare groove classics with a disconcerting naturalness, from Jean-Claude Pelletier’s clavinet-guitar wah combo to the lyrical flights of the now classic soundtrack of The Collective Wedding. He is also fond of the moist and languorous jazz-funk that many jazzmen have been involved in since the end of the sixties. In concert, the union is the strength, since the group deploys an energy and an exemplary know-how. The lucky ones who attended their last Parisian concert will undoubtedly remember it!
