Pianist, composer and writer extraordinaire, Laurent de Wilde is a multiple artist, considered as one of the best jazz pianists on the scene today. His eternal exploration of the musical universe, between acoustic and electronic, has led him to multiple collaborations: Eddie Henderson, Ernest Ranglin, Abd Al Malik, André Ceccarelli…. Awarded several times (Django Reinhardt Prize, Victoire de la Musique…), he is also the author of a book on Thelonious Monk. When Frédéric Charbaut, artistic director of the festival, asked Laurent de Wilde which musician he would like to play with, the answer was immediate: Stefano di Battista. Eight albums as a leader, including five on the prestigious Blue Note label, prestigious collaborations with Claude Nougaro, Michel Petrucciani, Jacky Terrasson or Aldo Romano make him one of the most respected and sought-after saxophonists.
