Lada Obradovic and David Tixier: a duo that really sparks! The drummer and pianist come together at Jazz à Porquerolles for a concert full of complicity.

It’s a well-known expression: opposites attract. This is certainly true of the jazz duo formed by drummer Lada Obradovic and pianist David Tixier. The former is incisive, edgy and groovy. The latter is more rounded, technical and voluptuous. Yet despite being poles apart, the two musicians manage to fuse their two sensibilities in a very organic way.

At the time of writing, the collaboration between Lada Obradovic and David Tixier has already produced three albums: Professor Seek and Mister Hide (2019), The Boiling Stories of a Smoking Kettle (2020) and A Piece of Yesterday (2022). At the beginning of 2024, the pair got back together for the EP The Only Thing That Matters.

Jazz à Porquerolles brings us an encounter with a literally magnetic duo. All in the unique setting of Fort Sainte-Agathe.
