Will Deidamia prevent her lover Achilles from going to war in Troy? The Oracle was quite clear: the valiant Achilles is essential to the capture of Troy, but he will find not glory but death. The young princess, daughter of King Lycomedes of the island of Scyros, used all sorts of stratagems to delay Achilles’ departure, even feigning madness! But heroes and mortals alike cannot escape their fate…
