On the one hand, the mystical, virtuoso and hypnotic ecstatic song of an extraordinary woman, a 12th century Rhenish abbess, a great figure of the Middle Ages, contemporary of the abbot Suger of Saint-Denis, and whom the hippie wave of the 70’s brought to the top; on the other hand, a new score by Ibrahim Maalouf, with children’s voices and brass at the heart, inspired by the songs of Hildegard and the Basilica that he knows well. The concert is conducted by the brilliant musical director of the Maîtrise de Radio France, Sofi Jeannin, who made a great impression in Saint-Denis last year in Fauré’s Requiem.
