French rap is honored in the first show of Bâtiment B with the rapper and writer Gaël Faye who joins the great Oxmo Puccino.
From his beginnings alongside his band Milk Coffee & Sugar to his revelation with his first solo album “Pili Pili on a butter croissant” in 2013, Gaël Faye cultivates an introspective universe mixing poetry and rap. A multi-hatted artist, the public discovered him as a writer with the release of his book “Petit Pays” in which he recounts his childhood in Burundi, adapted to the cinema this year. Influenced by hip-hop, Creole music, soul and jazz, Gaël Faye is back with a sunny album “Lundi Méchant”.
