With Israel Galván, flamenco fully tips over into the 21st century. Sixteen years after ¡Mira! / Los zapatos rojos, which made him known, the Andalusian continues his blasting with FLA.CO.MEN.

The dancer and choreographer announces the color in the title of the show: here, flamenco was put under the microscope to be better deconstructed. This replay is the opportunity to integrate a nod to Galván’s past works, by putting a good dose of self-mockery. It is this humor that differentiates FLA.CO.MEN from the artist’s previous work… and the flamenco creation in general.

After acclaimed performances at the Théâtre de la Ville, Israel Galván presents his iconoclast work to the public of the Lyon Dance Biennial. For these Lyon dates, the Sevillian is joined by four free jazz musicians and two cantaores.
