Emile Londonien is a group made up of three people from Strasbourg: Théo Tritsch on bass guitar, Nils Boyny on keyboard and Matthieu Drago on drums. Their group name is a nod to soprano saxophonist Emile Parisien. The “Londoner” is to underline the influence of the English scene on their music. Coming from the Omezis collective, they draw inspiration from artists such as Yussef Kamaal, The Comet is Coming and RH Factor. Regularly playlisted on the BBC, their first productions found an enthusiastic response and the praise never ceases, starting with that of DJ and producer Gilles Peterson.
