Following the duos formed by Arthur Teboul & Baptiste Trotignon and Thomas Enhco & Clara Ysé, it’s time for a new creation from ARTE Concert’s Piano Day: the unprecedented encounter between pianist Édouard Ferlet and multi-talented artist Marguerite Thiam.

Piano Day seems tailor-made for Édouard Ferlet, one of the most daring pianists of his generation. Coming from a jazz background, he recently broadened his horizons to more experimental territories thanks to his Pianoïd, an interactive and electroacoustic device that he manipulates brilliantly on stage.

Keen to explore new collaborations, we suggested that he work with Marguerite Thiam for the 2025 edition of our Piano Day. Already a talented actress and director, this multi-talented artist also proved her gifts as a singer, songwriter, and composer with the release of the album COMME LES GRANDS in 2023. This highly sensitive universe was created in collaboration with her brother, Aliou.

And so, at the LAB, in front of a deeply moved audience, Marguerite Thiam unfurls her introspective flow over the black and white notes of Édouard Ferlet. A unique collaboration between pop, rap, jazz, and classical music that sounds like a natural fit.
