Cheap House’s credo is to bring jazz to the clubs.

Cheap House combines the talents of Nils on synthesiser, Paul on saxophone, Théo on bass and Matthieu on drums. This quartet is an extension of the Omezis collective (which also produced the Emile Londonien trio, filmed in Concerts Volants a few months before the 2023 edition of ARTE Mix o Trabendo) and has one objective: to explode all shackles.

Together, the four musicians deploy the heady rhythms of techno and house using organic instruments, all driven by the energy of improvisation. This approach caught the attention of the brilliant producer Arnaud Rebotini, who helped the group find its full potential, both in the studio and on stage.

Cheap House is best appreciated live. With each performance, the osmosis that binds the quartet together quickly grabs the audience, who, thanks to the plasticity of their improvisation, in turn become actors in the concert. Unsurprisingly, Cheap House’s live show at ARTE Mix o Trabendo was no exception.
