Cantoría is a young vocal quartet specializing in the performance of Iberian Renaissance polyphony. Freshness, youth, and closeness to the audience have become the hallmarks of this ensemble, which is beginning to build a distinguished career both nationally and internationally.
Born at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya – ESMUC (Barcelona), Cantoría truly took shape during the ECOS – International Festival of Early Music of Sierra Espuña (Murcia) in the summer of 2016. In 2018, the group was selected for the European cooperation program EEEmerging+, which supports emerging ensembles. There, they won the Audience Prize at the Ambronay Festival and were chosen to remain in the program for three additional years (2018–2021).
