Melting pot session! AySay are unveiling their world of Danish, Kurdish and Turkish influences at the Eurosonic festival.

Led by the charismatic Luna Bülow Ersahin, AySay is a trio based in Denmark. But the group draws its influences from much further afield than Scandinavia. Luna and her bandmates draw on the singer’s oriental heritage to create tracks where Europe and the Middle East meet, combining saz and bass, darbuka and lyrics in Turkish, Kurdish or Danish.

Discover this unusual universe during a session filmed in Het Kasteel, the building that once housed Groningen’s Geological and Mineralogical Institute. The band took advantage of this unique performance to perform the track ‘Istanbul’.
