On the occasion of this performance at the Moods Club in Zurich in 2018, André Manoukian is accompanied by two musicians: Rostom Khachikian, the master of duduk, a genre of Armenian oboe which “has the sound of a woman crying in ecstasy” as André points out between pieces, as well as Mosin Kawa, the tabla virtuoso who, in addition to his many collaborations in Indian classical music, has performed with David Murray, Cheick Tidiane Seck, Hocus Pocus, Omar Sosa, Paolo Fresu and many others.
