At only 19 years old, he was already supporting bassist Avishai Cohen on his tours around the world. Six years later, Shai Maestro was flying on his own in a trio. From his impressive first album released in 2012, the Israeli pianist imposed his spellbinding compositions backed by an aesthetic that could not be more personal. This music, Shai Maestro certainly feeds it with jazz, but also with traditional melodies and classical music. A combination magnified by the agreement between the pianist and his rhythm section composed of drummer Ziv Ravitz and double bass player Jorge Roeder. Lyricism, poetry, but also feverish flights of fancy guaranteed.
