Five opera singers defy classical codes with The Opera Locos, an eccentric and zany show.

The evening begins with a recital in which emblematic opera arias, whether from Bizet’s Carmen, Mozart’s Magic Flute or Offenbach’s Tales of Hoffmann, are carried by the oversized egos of the 5 singer-actors whose voices embellish the arias with a few pop borrowings.

Soon it is no longer the music but the egos of these singers that become the centre of attention. Yearning for glory, buried desires are the breeding ground for burlesque and zany situations in a breathless rhythm. A lyrical and theatrical escape for the whole family.
