Robben Ford is one of today’s leading electric guitarists and is at home in many different musical contexts. As a result, the five-time Grammy Award nominee has played with the likes of Joni Mitchell, Jimmy Witherspoon, Miles Davis, George Harrison, John Scofield and many others, and can present an equally diverse repertoire. Over the last few decades, Robben has released 30 albums as bandleader and, in addition to his exceptional skills as a guitarist, has also developed a very personal style as a composer and singer.
The repertoire for this concert consists of music arranged by Ed Partyka from Robben Ford’s earlier albums, but the latest CDs ‘Purple House’ and ‘Pure’ are also cited to some extent.
