The music of “Medusa” was born in Havana, during a 110-day confinement where Felipe Cabrera found himself alone in the country where he grew up.
As a pillar of the great Cuban jazz school, the Paris-based bassist decided to turn his accidental return to his homeland into art during a time of pandemic. He composed five musical pieces, which he created for Banlieues Bleues with his faithful trio and a special guest, also from Cuba, the choreographer and dancer Judith Sànchez Ruiz.
